If you're no longer living in Florida
hopefully these pictures will remind
you of our beautiful sunsets and intice
you to come "home" in November for the
40t Class Reunion.
If you haven't seen Clearwater Beach in a
long time, take a look at the last picture
on the right, below to see how it looks
today. The roundabout is our city father's
multi-million dollar fiasco. There are
more accidents there each day then anywhere
in the area. Now they've approved taking
out the beautiful waterfountain only.....
which really won't approve the traffic flow!
Pier 60 as we knew it is GONE. Was totally
rebuilt last year. There is a big playground
and a gazebo for local bands to play on the
weekends. Every night there is Sunset On The
Beach where local muscians, artists and craft
people display their wares.
Anyone remember the miniture golf course
that used to be where that fountain is now?
The Beach Civic Center was torn down for
this? Most locals won't go to Clearwater
Beach for the day anymore. Traffic is
sometimes backed up all the way to Missouri
Avenue!!
